Scleral Lens Tip | How to better insert your lenses

Getting a secure hold of your eyelids is the first step and arguably the most important step in the successful insertion and removal of any contact lens. Holding the inserter with the left hand frees up the right hand to hold the right eyelid and vice versa. This is often the easiest way for most people; however, I recommend figuring out which hand works best for you because everyone is different.

Additional Tip

Another helpful tip is to make sure to hold the eyelid at the eyelid margin. This ensures that your eyes are opened as wide as possible and prevents the eyelids from slipping during lens insertion or removal.
