Wash your hands before handling your lenses

First and foremost, always wash your hands before handling your lenses. Remember, they are slippery! That’s what makes them so comfortable and what allows your lids to glide over your contact lens so smoothly. Because of this, you must be very careful when handling the lenses that they don’t fall off your finger. Also, take extra precautions when removing lenses from your eyes or from your case.

Pro-Tip: Place a towel or bowl underneath your work- space or cover your drain if working over a sink.

Use Compatible Contact Lens Cleaning Solutions

Using solutions that are not listed here could cause serious damage to the Tangible Hydra-PEG coating that could impact its performance.

Please follow the instructions for the cleaning solution you are using,  and contact your Eye Care Provider if you have any questions. If you need to use an artificial tear or rewetting drop in addition to the above solutions, ask your Eye Care Provider for their recommendation for a contact lens approved drop.

Solutions that are approved and compatible with Tangible Hydra-PEG are:

Any artificial tear or rewetting drop that is compatible for use with contact lenses, is compatible for use with Tangible Hydra-PEG, however, contact your Eye Care Provider for their recommendation if you feel you need them.

Pro-Tip: Tangible Clean is the ideal contact lens cleaning solution for coated lenses. It is thinner and provides a refreshing, clean feeling for a more enjoyable wearing experience.

Don't Use Tap Water With Tangible Hydra-PEG Coated Lenses

Do not rinse your Tangible Hydra-PEG coated lenses in tap water. Only rinse your coated lenses with approved solutions or sterile saline. Since tap water is abrasive, it can wear away, or severely damage the coating over time. Using tap water also promotes the growth of bacteria and harmful pathogens on your contact lenses, which can cause eye infections (CDC Information on tap water).

Pro-Tip: Case health is important too! Always rinse your contact lens case in an approved contact lens cleaning solution, not tap water. Allow it to air dry between uses.

Never Store Your Tangible Hydra-PEG Coated Lenses Dry

Always store lenses in contact lens solution; never store them dry!  Ensure that there is plenty of solution in the case, COVERING the lenses completely. Leaving lenses in a dry case can dry out and permanently damage the coating.

Pro-Tip: If you need to store your lenses longer than overnight, make sure to change your contact lens solution monthly.

Last, but not least, if you have any questions about caring for your lenses, talk to your doctor. Your doctor knows your eye health and history and is best equipped to recommend products, advise you about your contact lenses, and answer any questions.
