Tangible® Science is proud to announce it has partnered with Bausch + Lomb, one of the largest and most influential eye care companies in the world. Already available as a coating on most of the leading gas permeable lens materials in the business, such as those offered by Contamac and SynergEyes, Tangible® Hydra-PEG® is expected to be available on several of B+L’s Boston line of GP materials, as well as their scleral lenses, by the end of 2018.
Tangible® Hydra-PEG® is a high water content polymer coating that is bonded to the surface of contact lenses. It has been shown to improve wettability, increase surface water retention and lubricity, and minimize deposits on various lens materials.
B+L said that the agreement would “further strengthen and enhance” their growing portfolio of custom contact lenses.
Tangible® Science CEO Vic McCray feels the new relationship will enable the company to respond to requests from physicians for more options for their custom contact lens patients.
